Daddy Mac’s Beach Shack is an oceanfront vacation gem! This stunning 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom, home is located in Avon Village and is sure to exceed your expectations! This three-floor home has impressive views of the Atlantic Ocean from almost every angle and private beach access to the most pristine beaches on Hatteras Island. The fun does not stop after a day at the beach...enjoy your own large private pool area, hot tub, and game room, or unwind on the sundecks to watch the ocean waves or to stargaze at the dark Hatteras Island night sky. Daddy Mac's Beach Shack will have you returning for years to come!

Ground Level: Ground-level amenities include a spacious pool area with charcoal and gas grills, 2 outdoor showers with hot water, a fish cleaning table, a basketball hoop, and a driveway that accommodates up to 6 vehicles. As you enter the home, you are greeted by a spacious game room with a pool table, a cable TV, and a wet bar with a refrigerator and a microwave. There are also 2 bedrooms on this level. Bedroom #1 is a King bedroom with a TV and access to a full bathroom off the hallway. Bedroom #2 is a spacious King bedroom with an ensuite full bathroom, a TV, and access to the covered pool deck.

Mid Level: The middle level has an additional sitting area with a TV, 3 bedrooms, and a laundry area. Bedroom #3 is furnished with a Twin bed and bedroom #4 is furnished with a Queen bed and a TV. Bedrooms #3 and #4 share a spacious full bathroom. Bedroom #5 is a Queen bedroom with a TV and an attached private full bathroom. Bedrooms #4 and #5 enjoy ocean views with direct access to the oceanfront deck, hot tub, and hammock.

Top Level: As you make your way to the top floor, you are greeted by the spacious great room with high ceilings and large windows that provide plenty of light and ocean views! The top floor boasts a fully renovated, fully equipped chef’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar that seats 3, and two dining tables that seat a total of 14. A half bathroom is also conveniently located off the kitchen area. The living area provides comfortable seating and a TV. Spacious sun decks off the living and dining area give you front-row seats to the sunrise and spectacular views of the dunes, beach, and ocean.

Extras: Private pool, hot tub, private sand path beach access, 7 flat-screen TVs, WiFi, books, pool table, high chair, Keurig, hammock, gas and charcoal grills, covered decks, sun decks, deck furniture, parking for 6 vehicles, and linens and towels are provided. No Smoking/Vaping. No Pets. Distance to Beach Access: Oceanfront. Beds: 2 King, 2 Queens, 1 Twin. Key Type: Keyless Entry. Check-In Location: At the Property.

PRIVATE POOL is open from April until Mid October
Pool Heat is an additional $500 per week.

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds, and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds, in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. After booking, you will receive an email to sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment electronically. You will have 3 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance deposit to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

This house has everything you need for an amazing week in Avon. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Pool and hot tub are great. There are nightlights all throughout the house, which I loved! Pool table in case you get a rainy day was super fun. We had one minor issues with a shower and maintenance quickly resolved it. And the pool man is the best!

Beautiful, clean home right on the beach

This house was perfect for our family vacation this year. We had 10 people and there was plenty of room without feeling like we were on top of each other. Everything was so clean decorated very cute. The weather wasn't ideal while we were there so having the pool table and video game came in very handy. Our only 2 issues were that the showers/tubs did not drain very well and the neither did the outdoor showers but overall we were very happy/impressed with the house and would rent it again in the future.

Had a great stay at Daddy Mac's. The house has everything we needed and was very clean. Oceanfront access was awesome. Avon is a great location with quiet, uncrowded beaches but still good access to restaurants and the grocery store. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely amazing location, not too far away from food, grocery stores and shopping at small shops. The 3 levels are great for families with babies or younger toddlers. We had every age rage, toddler, big kids, teenagers and adults. The pool area is awesome, the first floor game room is great for anyone. Home was super clean when we arrived. No major issues at all, top deck needs a few nails hammered in. Kitchen is great with a gas stove but an issue when cooking is the hood vent just recirculates smoke back into the kitchen area. We found out the hard way when we did cook but I think this happens at every rental house. There were extra chairs and firewood in the shed and Pool toys. This house made our vacation super awesome and the entire family had fun. Definitely going to use Brindley again.

Absolutely spectacular property. Easily accommodated, six adults and two small children. Even at high tide, there’s a wide beach. The rental company is excellent to work with and is very responsive to any issues. The only issue we had and it really wasn’t an issue was almost running out of propane. however, the rental company immediately responded with a full tank. Other than the worst weather ever, (I was wearing sweats and a hoodie for most of the week.) it was a good time in a great house. We will absolutely be back sometime however, in June, July, or August.

We loved our week here. Even though the weather wasn’t great, we had a great time. We took advantage of the pool, the hot tub, and most of all, the pool table during cooler days. The house was close to lots of activities and attractions like the Bodie and Hatteras light houses, the Elizabethan gardens, and the aquarium in Manteo which were great for short day trips. The house has been renovated and is very beautiful and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Just a top notch place! We have been going to OBX and specifically Avon for ten years. Daddy Mac was, by far, the best experience we have ever had. The place and the experience was top notch. Do yourself a favor and book this place! We were sad to leave.

We truly enjoyed this wonderful house. Great locations, pool is awesome! We ran out of propane during our visit, it was quickly filled and the owners even dropped off a $25 gift certificate for ice cream for the minor inconvenience! An outdoor dining table would of been a nice touch on the upper deck! I think we personally would of used the hot tub more if it was by the pool or even on the upper deck. Great vacation all and all!

It was a really good trip The sunrise and sunset from the balcony were one of the best views of my life and the weather was perfect with no humidity. Also, the hot tub and the heated pool were loved by the kids.

The house is on a nice quiet street in Avon. It's well kept and updated on the top level. The beach is quiet and we never had an issue with finding a spot or with noise from the adjacent houses. A wonderful view from the upper deck too! The pool was nice and clean and was a great spot to hangout at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend!

This is a beautiful property in a great location. Many extra amenities, like a game room with a second fridge, a small “theater room” on the second floor, and pool/beach gear in the shed. The furnishings are very nice and better quality than most houses we’ve rented in Avon. We would not hesitate to rent here again.

The house had everything we needed for a relaxing week at the beach. The top floor was open concept with kitchen, living room, and dining room in one big area with large windows on three sides, and a large deck giving a great view of the dunes, ocean, pool, sunrises. The bottom two floors housed the 5 bedrooms, with a sitting area on the 2nd floor (with TV for game playing) and a pool room/wet bar on the bottom floor with sliders out to the pool. We loved having the pool for swimming after a day on the beach. The only thing we didn't use was the hot tub - not a big draw for us in the summer heat. Would stay here again.

Hi, the week was spectacular!! Daddy Mac’s Beach Shack is magnificent, it met all our needs especially the pool during the heatwave. My 3 granddaughters really loved the water. Unfortunately we could not get to the beach more often due to the high winds and somewhat rough waters. The weather was actually better than we expected, sunny, breezy and very little rain. We all absolutely enjoyed ourselves. Thank you, it was a wonderful family vacation.

2022 Avon Beach Vacation

We had an amazing beach vacation at Daddy Mack's Beach Shack. The house offered everything we could possibly want for a beach vacation. The price, location and amenities were spot on. Steps away from the beach with an amazing view of the ocean. When not on the beach, we were able to have fun in the pool, the hot tub or playing pool. The kitchen has been recently finished and was stocked with everything we needed. Very clean with an open floor plan to the living room and upper deck. This is where we spent most of our time. One of the bathrooms connected to a second floor bedroom was recently renovated and looked great. It would be fantastic if the bedrooms and other bathrooms could have a similar upgrade to take this home to an even better level. But again, for the price and all of the amenities, we give this house a high five rating. Will definitely go back again and recommend to friends. Thank you for a great time!

My family had a wonderful week at this house. My 86 year old mother who found it a little challenging to get over the dune to the beach totally enjoyed the awesome ocean views from the deck and sun bathing by the pool. We had coffee on the deck each morning watching the sun rise. Two mornings we saw a doe grazing alone the dune, on another morning we saw 2 bucks grazing in the dune and on a 4th morning a doe and her calf strolled by! The house had everything we needed for the week and the starter package you included was perfect.
